James Morris has been a resident of NW Florida since 1974. He was first stationed at the local Panama City Navy Base as the lowest ranking Engineman.  If it was nasty and needed cleaning, painted or repaired on a boat, he did it.

     After his 4 year tour in the Navy he returned to Panama City with plans to open his own auto repair shop.  He has been the owner of James Auto Center since 1980 and employs ASE Master Auto Technicians and ASE Service Advisors.
     James Auto Center is an AAA Approved Auto Repair facility, as well as a NAPA Auto Care Repair Facility.  James Auto Center has higher Customer Satisfaction than the national average according to NAPA.  James Auto Center has a 99.85% Customer Satisfaction Rating for over 10 years.  This shows James Auto Center’s commitment to our customers and “Fixing it Right the First Time”. 

    James is married to the former Anna Owens for the last 17 years.  James has two grown daughters from a previous marriage Christina and Kimberly.  They live in South Florida with their husbands and James’s grandchildren.
     James Auto Center was the winner of the BBB 2007 Torch Award for Market Place Ethics.  This award is for business’s that market their business in a positive way.  Who help their community and who are active in growth of their community.

   James is the President of the Bay County Navy League for the last 3 years.  During this time the Bay County Navy League has helped commission the USS Mesa Verde LPD 19 in December 2007.  He is actively promoting to have the 2012 National Navy League Convention in Panama City Beach. 
    James is the President of Lynn Haven Rotary Club to serve the 2008-09 as President of the Lynn Haven Rotary Club.  He has organized the Lynn Haven Rotary Golf Tournament to Benefit the St. Andrew Bay Center for “Mentally Challenged Adults” for the last 3 years.
    James also helps as Vice President of Southern States Rottweiler Rescue and has been active rescuing and re-homing abused and neglected Rottweilers for the last 7 years.  He is also the webmaster for www.ssrr.org and www.jamesautocenter.com and www.masterautotech.com
    James Morris has been an ASE Certified Auto Technician since 1980 as well as Master Certified in Paint and Body.  James became ASE Master Certified Auto Technician in 1987 and L1 Advanced Engine Performance certified.    

    James Morris has been answering car questions on the radio for over 12 years and has the longest running local talk show in the central panhandle of Florida. 

     James Morris is a contributing writer to the Panama City's News Herald with questions and answer column every Saturday called “The Auto Advisor".

    With his 35 years of ”hands on" experience working on cars, James is able to help the do-it-yourselfer with advice on "Ask the Master Auto Technician".  This show helps the do-it-yourselfer plus the person who knows nothing about working on today’s cars.  James makes the caller feel like they can fix any problem they have with his guidance.  Men and women, young and old enjoy the fast moving, up-tone car advice show.

     James' mission is to help the do-it-yourselfer's get the right information to repair their car correctly and safely.  

      He also helps to educate the consumer about car repairs before they go to a repair shop to learn what questions to ask before you get your car repaired. 
    James is helping to professionalize the automotive repair industry with “Management Tips” for the shop owner as well as the customer looking for a modern, clean, well organized professional automotive repair shop.
